If you have children under 19 years old and still in full time education, they may be entitled to a free school meal if you get:
You will not be entitled to free school meals if you get any element of Working Tax Credit or if your annual household income (as assessed by HMRC) is more than £16,190.
You will not need to provide proof of your benefit at this stage but will be contacted if proof is needed at a later date.
All children attending school in reception, year 1 and year 2 are entitled to a school meal free of charge.
All children will get a free school meal. If you receive benefits you should also apply for free school meals as we also use the form to see if your child’s school will also be entitled to extra funding of £1,300 known as Pupil Premium.
You must update your details using our online free school meal system if your school or circumstances changes. This is so we can make sure your child still gets their free school meals.
