Our Energy Advice Programme is part of a national Citizens Advice initiative funded by the energy companies including National Grid as part of their obligations. This is a specialist energy advice service for clients who are in fuel poverty or at risk of being in fuel poverty.
We can help with a whole range of energy matters including:
- Finding the cheapest energy supplier and tariff
- Dealing with fuel debt, including help to negotiate affordable payment arrangements and grant applications
- Information on grants for insulation and other energy efficiency measures
- Budgeting for future energy usage
- Understanding your energy bill and setting heating controls
- Smart meters
Our holistic approach to advice means our team will also be able to provide guidance on what benefits you can claim to increase your income and refer you to other services that can provide needed support.
We can also provide free fuel vouchers for people to top-up their pre-payment gas and electric meters. Please be aware that this service provides an electronic voucher so you must have a mobile phone AND an email address. Please note that Vouchers cannot be issued after 3:30pm and this is only for people with extremely limited funds remaining on their pre-payment meter.
Feel free to get in touch if you want energy advice.
