Support for the people of Medway
What support can I get from the Scheme?
The Funded Scheme can help with essential household iteams such as:
- food and home essentials
- energy
- water
- essentials linked to energy and water
- housing costs in exceptional circumstances, but not mortgages.
The fund is available for those who are not considered eligible for public funds and is administered to a fixed budget. The terms of the scheme could change during the year.
How to I apply?
To be eligible for support, you must:
- be a Medway resident
- be aged 16 or over
- be in demonstrable hardship
- have less than £500 in your bank account
- not have access to any funds that can be relied on to meet the need you are applying for, and where you would be left with insufficient resources which would cause serious risk to your own, or your family’s, health, or safety.
What you’ll need
You’ll need the following information to apply for support:
- your details, including name, address and date of birth
- your contact details
- your income and expenditure information, along with your latest bank statements for all accounts held in the household. The statements must show transactions of income going in and out
- your National Insurance number
- your household details, including who you live with
- a bank statement dated within the last month showing that you have less than £500 in your bank account. This must clearly show your name and your most recent transactions.
The scheme is administered to a fixed budget. The terms of the scheme could change during the year.
