Support for the people of Medway

Medway Resilience

Adviser_7_responsiblepurple.pngCitizens Advice Medway has been awarded funding by the National Lottery Community Fund as part of a three-year project called Medway Resilience.

Our Medway Resilience project has been set up in light of the Cost of Living Crisis to ensure Medway is able to endure the economic issues plaguing the local community. The project focuses on two areas:

  • Providing advice on benefits, debt, and housing matters
  • Providing training and resources to other local agencies that support the public

The staff team on the Medway Resilience project supports people with any benefit, debt, or housing matter they may have. The remit is very wide but the team does not have any Solicitors so we cannot provide legal advice. The team can support clients with either one-off advice or by providing ongoing support in the form of casework.

The team is also attending Outreaches at a range of locations to ensure those who may not be able to reach our office do not find themselves excluded from the support this project can offer.

Finally, the Medway Resilience team is engaging with a number of local partners - both charities and statutory bodies - to provide training and materials to their workers that will benefit the residents of Medway. We recognise that many agencies are not necessarily accredited to the same standard that we are and ensuring clients receive accurate advice is vital during the Cost of Living Crisis.

Feel free to contact us if you need support from the Medway Resilience project.
